The final week!

I thought that it wasn't possible, but it almost here; the end of the first MATSL summer. I have learned so much during the past 3 weeks. Coming here was hard because I have 3 kids that need me 24/7, but I needed to do this for mi, to better my self and to be a better teacher. Learning about nationalism was a changing experience, because I though that I new what it was. After the first day I realise that I was wrong and every day I was looking forward to learn more about the subject. Also speaking the Spanish language all day was very comforting to me, and also to learn about many cultures. Research was like another language to me, and I know that I still have to learn a lot more, but I see things differently and I will continue to learn about researching and teaching. Now I have so much information that I can wait to go back and start to use the things that I learned this summer and the things that I m going to continue learning as a MATSL student. I feel as if before the program I did not know much about teaching, but now with all the learning during this 3 weeks and with all the information we are getting I m in a new path; the MATSL learning path. I'm glad that I came because not only I learned a lot but I also met a wonderful group of people that became my family and that is priceless.

We have all started this crazy journey together, and I'm sure we'll all be seeing things, differently now. It's good to know we can stay in touch to help us through this process.

Hello Mariyln,
Congratulations on completing the first summer session and for doing it for you! I've really enjoyed spending time with you these past 3 weeks. And like you said, we are a part of a new and little family. Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Hello, Marilin! It is August 17...I am in my classroom at school trying to access Moodle. It is quiet here....nobody in my department here today. I really enjoyed meeting you. Forever and ever when I see a sapo, I am going to think of you!
