The final week!

I thought that it wasn't possible, but it almost here; the end of the first MATSL summer. I have learned so much during the past 3 weeks. Coming here was hard because I have 3 kids that need me 24/7, but I needed to do this for mi, to better my self and to be a better teacher. Learning about nationalism was a changing experience, because I though that I new what it was. After the first day I realise that I was wrong and every day I was looking forward to learn more about the subject. Also speaking the Spanish language all day was very comforting to me, and also to learn about many cultures. Research was like another language to me, and I know that I still have to learn a lot more, but I see things differently and I will continue to learn about researching and teaching. Now I have so much information that I can wait to go back and start to use the things that I learned this summer and the things that I m going to continue learning as a MATSL student. I feel as if before the program I did not know much about teaching, but now with all the learning during this 3 weeks and with all the information we are getting I m in a new path; the MATSL learning path. I'm glad that I came because not only I learned a lot but I also met a wonderful group of people that became my family and that is priceless.

Internet Detective

After completing the Internet Detective I learned that you have to be very careful using any materials on the web. I always knew that you needed to site any resources used when writing a research paper, but not using pictures from the net.

I am so happy that I can't wait to go back to school and tell my students about the blog. I intent to create a classroom blog where we all can share pictures, and information about our school. I will use this website as a tool where the students can ask questions or just want to share informations with me and the class.Lisa muchas gracias for all the help, Marilyn
